Undo behavior is erratic
Text editing is buggy. ‘Undo’ will undo things that were never done… effectively just deleting and altering random chunks of code. The text will overlap itself and the code will become nonsensical. It is safer to type everything in some other editor and paste it in at the end, but this is a very big sacrifice to make as a user and the program loses most of its meaning. It is too much of a time risk.
pythonista3と比較して
Pytoのいい点 ・モジュールが豊富(特にopencvが使えるのは便利) ・こまめなアップデート ・iPhone の新しいシステムに対応 Pytoの悪い点 ・フリーズが多い ・変換予測をタップした後自動的にスペースが入力されない ・あまり直感的な操作ができない また、pythonista3はしばらくアップデートがあっておらずだんだん使いづらくなっています。それに対しpytoはまだできたばかりで進展が期待できるので買って損はしないと思います。(現時点ではまだ完成しきれていない部分もありますが)
ごみ
良い所はopencvが使えるぐらいで、それ以外は何の取り柄も無いゴミアプリ。 予測変換がイライラする。関数書こうとして関数名いれて()を入力すると、関数名が消えて(だけに書き換えられる。 せめてundo機能とかが欲しい。操作を誤って不用なコピペをしても修正が面倒。 しかも(私の環境依存かもしれないが)編集時の操作が重い。タップしても反応が遅かったり、カーソルの当てたい位置に合わせられずストレスが溜まる。 GUI作成もできる独自のpyto_uiというライブラリがあるが、これがまた使いづらい。 UIKitを流用出来るようだが、機能が微妙だし、リファレンスが不十分でどう使ったらいいか分かりづらい。結局公式のUIKitのドキュメントを見ながら四苦八苦しないといけない。 結論: 正直金出して買う価値はこのアプリにはない。
ネット上にcsvデータ置き？
まだ使いはじめですが、テキストやcsvデータはicloud driveに移さないと読み込み不可？のようです。 Pythonista3は同じフォルダ内にcsvデータを置いて使用できたが、これはネット上にcsvデータを置かねば読めないようです。 つまりオフラインでは読めない？データを贈呈する？ということなのかな。間違いでしたらすみません。
よく落ちるけど、今後期待
初めてpythonを習うのに、持ち運びしやすいiPadで どこでもコードを書いて実行できるのは素晴らしいです。 また、Pythonistaで利用できないpandasもこちらは 利用ができるため、自分にとってはメリットでした。 しかし、コーディング中よく落ちます！ 何か特定の記述を行った際に必ず落ちてしまうので モチベーションが下がります。 これは改善を早めにしていただきたいです。 アップデートの頻度が高いので、期待できる開発アプリです。
