This app gives you a flavor of DMV like questions. Once you have completed your independent study, you can test your knowledge with these questions before taking the actual test. The questions on this app should be about 90% accurate in terms of correctness, wording used by the DMV, and complexity of questions/answers. There are plenty of tests given for each of the sections: 1) General Knowledge - 12 practice tests 2) Air Brakes - 6 practice tests 3) Special Requirements (TX) - 8 practice tests 4) Combinations - 7 practice tests 5) Pre-Trip - 8 practice tests 6) HAZMAT - 10 practice tests 7) Tanker - 10 practice tests 8) Doubles Triples - 9 practice tests 9) Bus - 10 practice tests As you can see, I have also added the endorsement questions. Generally, you study sections 1-5 first, get your CLP, then learn to do the Pre-Trip, Maneuvers, and Road Test either using Automatic or Standard transmission tractor-trailers with another test-prep company that has physical trucks. Upon passing all three parts (Pre-Trip, Maneuvers, and Road Test) at the DMV, you receive your CDL. If you choose to use Automatic transmission, you will get an "E" in your CDL as a Restriction Code, implying that you are restricted to only driving Automatic transmission. Then you can go ahead and add your endorsements like HAZMAT, Tanker, Doubles Triples etc. Or, if your goal is to drive a bus, you can take that section (Section 9) as well along with the basic 1-5 sections. Although DMV generally requires you score at least 80% to pass a section, while taking the practice tests using this app, try to master these questions and score at least 90 - 100% to pass the DMV exam with flying colors! Also, I noticed there are distractions at the DMV with a lot of noise and people walking by etc. Being better prepared will allow you to offset any mistakes you make because of loss of concentration due to these distractions. Although this app is free, it uses Google Ads. I have designed the app so that ads do not appear in the middle of the tests as you are doing the questions. The ads only appear at the end of a test when you finish the test. Or, they appear when you open the app. You will also see banner ads at the bottom throughout the app. I believe this is not too much of a distraction because it appears consistently. However, if you find that ads are too much of a distraction, please let me know. I can consider adding a feature where you can remove ads for a small subscription fee.
