  Wonderful Japanese dictionary. Totally free. No ads at all! You can search by Japanese (romaji), English, or handwriting which is very useful if you can “draw” the kanji based on what you see, but cannot pronounce the word. The bookmark and flash card also come very handy. You can group your bookmarks (the words) and create flash cards to review them. The only concern I have is that there is no way to export the bookmarks. Hope this could be added in the next version. Also, we’d like to donate! Please please add a link in “About the app”.   I love everything about this app, my no.1 app on iPhone...infact this would be the last app that i would delete among my apps.. I just have one request.... The super bright black and green night mode theme.. <<<<<. is there a chance we could change it to something relaxing for the eyes at night? Such as matte gray & lighter gray if not white or light green.. because the current night mode has neon green at bright black (lol bright black) Thanks in advance!

  Best dictionary so far! but...

  I use this jisho both in ipad and iphone. Have no problem towards the content (in fact it is the best digital jisho I've ever had!!) but for the ipad version、there's still bugs that makes my screen froze after I searched some words... I had to close and reopen everytime I want to use it. But the content is so far the best! They really up to date and even have slangs in it. Also the translation is easy to understand.   Best Japanese dictionary for beginners

  I love this app. It is simiilar to the other apps in the app store, but I love the comprehensive tenses of the verb, which is a staple in Nihongo. I think it is perfect for people like me who are beginners in the language. I also love the kanji handwriting recognition. Always comes handy. Furthermore, the developer was so kind to respond to my request to release it in M1 Mac, as I can only use it in iPhone and iPad before. And above all, I can't believe this app is free.

  Mostly good

  I had been studying in japan for almost a year now and it satisfied most of my needs to the point I recommend it to other students. However, for more advanced use, depending on the word you search, the dictionary do not recognized it and I have to search in online japanese dictionaries directly from japan. It is useful to see how a kanji is written, have the conjugations and example sentences. It is impossible for a dictionary to include everything, so it is understandable. I had not used other japanese dictionary apps for a more accurate evaluation however.
