  Airbnb offers lettings in Nagorno-Karabakh region. This is Azerbaijani territory occupied by Armenia forces. Many of original inhabitants were forcibly removed from their homes. Nagorno-Karabakh region is considered as war zone. Can Airbnb guarantee the person letting out a place is the lawful owner? What about property rights and safety rules noted on official Airbnb website? UNSC United Nations adopted a resolutions : 822 (1993), 853 (1993), 874 (1993) and 884(1993) condemning the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan, demanding the immediate withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from the occupied lands, and urging respect for Azerbaijan`s sovereignty and territorial integrity and peaceful, fair resolution of the conflict based on the principle of inviolability of borders. From tourism perpective is violation of international rules and this issue should be considered and resolved by Airbnb.

  Illegal App - Just get a hotel!!

  Here’s my first and last experience with this app. Judge for yourself. I think this reveals all of the obvious problems with this system. Note that I have done Craigslist back in the day in various cities and never had a single thing like this. Booked a room with “good reviews”. Room has a strange keypad which anybody with the code can enter. Do I know if the code has been changed for me? No. Pictures of the apartment I booked on airbnb app include the wifi password and user name. This potentially means anybody with this app without booking can log in from outside or the next room with the password and user name and have access to the same wifi router then potentially all the devices all around the room throughout the building and outside. Host doesn’t respond when I tell them I entered the room despite quickly answering all my questions before I booked the room. They also do not come visit the room to know who I am even after 3 days. Router in the room for wifi is configured to the default user and password. This of course is also an ideal situation for bad actors and hackers as the router can be tuned to their liking. If you know anything about internet security, this is totally dangerous. Toilet paper is inside the bathroom, but only half a roll. Washing machine is in the room as pictured on the airbnb listing but no laundry detergent. It even has a clothing iron as also pictured in the airbnb listing but no ironing board… There are strict rules written in a manual about how to throw away the garbage in separate colored bags for recycling yet no garbage are bags supplied nor even information on where to throw away garbage. Last but not least!! I start to feel weird as I find out the area happens to be the most dangerous area in Japan from my friend in the city. The room does happen to be in an alley very tucked away from the main roads… So I get an app off the Apple app store that scans the router and lists all the devices connected. Despite the room listing on airbnb saying there were no security cameras, there were actually 10 cameras connected to the very wifi router I was using which I could not see. Note that I later tried the same app with a normal hotel and there were no cameras listed. I immediately cancel my 6 day reservation and contact airbnb about my experience with a screenshot of the cameras found by the app. I get generic messages back and no refund. Look up on amazon for spy cameras and read about this issue in the news to understand why this is a problem if you are not concerned about this. Yeah, so Apple, how is this legal again? So what we’re talking about is a somewhat private and unmanaged space with zero internet security and zero inspection with people from all around the world checking in and out. With good reviews… And this is the story of just one airbnb place!! Imagine what else is possible with something like this?

  会社の倫理観に深刻な問題あり

  ゲストとして今回はじめて利用しましたがAirbnbの対応には呆れました。利用した部屋には様々な問題(表示されている設備が実際には使用できない、故障、害虫発生、不在時にホストが無許可で部屋に入っていた安全に関わる問題等々)がありました。 それらの問題のうち、Airbnbの返金ポリシーに合致する事項に関して返金リクエストをしましたが全く返金はありませんでした。 部屋に発生した害虫による怪我の治療のため帰国を1日早めcheck outしましたが(前日までに伝え)その一泊分も返金はされませんでした。 ホスト側の意見を支持するとのことでした。私は全て事実に基づいて、証拠写真も提出したのですが。。またこれらの問題点を利用後のレビューに記載しましたが、数時間後に掲載が勝手に消去されていました。Airbnbやホストに不利なレビューは事実であろうと消去されるのですね。また、Airbnbやホストに不利な指摘や質問は全て無視されました。金銭の授受を伴っているにも拘らず企業としての倫理観、責任感を欠如しています。これからは普通のホテルを利用します。

  サポートが劣悪

  もう2度と利用したくありません。宿泊しようとした日に公共交通機関の回避不可能なトラブルがあり、ホストとも夜遅くまでうまく連絡がとれず、宿泊できるかどうかわからず、やむなくべつの宿泊先に泊まるしかなかったことがありました。 サポートに相談したところ、「泊まれたと思います」の一点張りで、あとは当事者同士で解決しろ、とのことだった。 どう考えても無理な状況で、自分ならできたのか、と問い詰めたかったし、怒り心頭だった。 これでは、なんのためにサービス料を支払っているのかわからない。 また、利用する側のことを全く考えていない傲慢な姿勢が見えた。 2度と利用したくないし、勧められない。 所詮はホテルのサービスに及ばないし、万が一のサポートがこれでは全く利用価値がない。 ほかにもサポートに関するコメントがありますが、本当にサポートが劣悪で、やる気の欠片もないです。 腹が立つような対応をされて、余計に状況が悪くなるだけで、問題解決をしようという意思も見えませんでした。 2度と利用することは、ありません。 悪質なアプリケーションです。

  Newest update almost unusable

  When i saw the banner saying “historical update” i was pretty looking forward to it. But after i get it i just want to go back to the original version. Using iPhone 13pro. I’m seriously wondering if this version has been through basic testing - the most important searching page does not work with map anymore. When i input my destination, the search result comes up at first, but when i click the map icon and try to look at the locations, the map locks at Australia (while i specified somewhere in Japan) and reset my destination criteria whenever i move.
