AgriGuardian is a mobile solution designed to protect the most vulnerable on farms. Agriculture accounts for over 50% of workplace fatalities in the EU and the most vulnerable groups are U16’s and over 65’s accounting for 52.8% of fatalities. There are 2 user types on AgriGuardian those that need to be Protected and Guardians. Features: 1. Alert zone warnings. In the right hand picture above is a screen from our app on our test farm, the yellow circle is where the farm house is and the red box is where the slurry pit is located. If a wearer was to cross one of these lines guardians are alerted with an alarm type notification. This raises awareness that a person is now on the farm or is in a dangerous area. 2. Proximity warning. When the wearer comes within 10M of a guardian they are alerted again. This is useful when the guardian is in a high noise environment such as machinery operation 3. Anchoring – Guardians can virtually tether a vulnerable user to them. If the user strays outside the 10M zone the Guardian is alerted. Especially useful on farms where danger is never far away. 4. How alerts are made – AgriGuardian alerts are unique in that they are more than just a notification they require the Guardian to acknowledge them, this raises awareness to the presence of vulnerable user. These features offer real value as they address an issue that other safety products simply don’t. Farming is unique in that dangers move. Alert Zones allow Guardians to move the danger areas of the farm and the Proximity Warning puts an electronic safety bubble around the wearer and anchoring ensures that even to most curious can’t stray too far. Necessary permission requests: • Location services, to inform Guardian of your current location • Notifications, to inform you about the Alert Zones changes Please note, GPS location sharing is only possible upon mutual consent of all members in the group. Privacy of all users is the top concern for us - share your phone's location only with people you trust. Please note, the app collects location data to enable real-time location sharing, alerts, & place alerts even when the app is closed or not in use.
